I had an amazing time at The Makeup Show NYC. This is one of the best events for industry pros who are eager learn about the latest techniques and newest products. The Makeup show has seminars and also classes that can be taken with celebrity makeup artist. I was completely bummed that I was only able to attend the one day but I tried to make sure to cover as much as I could.
I traveled to New York for the Blogger Preview and for the Sunday Show with my blogging partner in crime BeautyJudy of BeautyJudy.com. Here we are waiting for the Blogger Preview to start.
James Vincent the Director of Makeup Artistry for The Makeup Show gave us the inside scoop on some his favorite and newest products that would be launched at this particular show. One of those products was the new OCC Lip Stain!
I toured the floor on Sunday with the ease of an App. Yes an App! Newly launched at The Makeup Show NYC was an app that helped participants navigate the floor, see seminar schedules and stay one step ahead of the game. The app was an awesome addition to the show since there was so much to see and do. I spotted a couple of new brands on the floor like Lashes in a Box and Cattiva who had this amazing blinged out mascara. of course there were The Makeup Show Favorites like Makeup Forever, OCC and Glamcor. AJ Crimson launched his newest BB Cream line “BB +D” which is a BB cream with a bit more coverage. I picked up shade 4 which sold out before the show was even over on Sunday. I had the pleasure of meeting David from Ofra Cosmetics who showed me the newest thing in illuminators, DD cream. Check out my golden knuckles created by Ofra Cosmetics DD Gold. I took a beak from the vendors and listened to Seminars by David from OCC and Eve Pearl. I really must stress that the education you receive at this event is absolutely amazing! While there are classes you can pay to take there are several free seminars going on a three different locations throughout the show. There are also Keynote talks with amazing top gurus in the business. Of course I was bummed I would be missing out on the Mathu Anderson keynote which was held on Monday.
Since this was supposed to be a snippet I’ve compiled a few photos below for your viewing pleasure. Stay tuned because I have tons of stuff to review for you all. If you missed The Makeup Show NYC don’t fret it’ll be in Chicago June 9-10th! You do not want to miss out on this amazing event!
