California Lace Wigs and Weaves is one of the largest online vendors of Custom Lace Wigs. I had the opportunity to chat with the founder Annette Jones about the company and you can read all about it here. Now lets get to this super fabulous hair!!!
While California Lace Wigs and Weaves makes amazing custom wigs they also retail hair extensions. In the picture above I’m wearing what they call the “Basic Closure Package” which consist of a 16″ medium density swiss lace closure and 2-18′ 4oz bundles of Malaysian Loose Curl Hair.
The hair came packaged in a nice box and was already shampoo’d and deep conditioned. I re-shampooed and conditioned the hair as I always do to make sure it was sew in ready. During the washing there was no issues with shedding or tangling. I allowed the hair to air dry and it went right back to it’s natural texture.
Shedding and Tangling: I honestly didn’t see much shedding with this hair. None that would cause alarm. I did however experience some tangling at the nape of the hair but nothing that cause the dreaded “bird nest”.
Styling: I used minimal products on this hair. Mostly water and a leave in conditioner. The ends did seem to get a bit dry as time went on. This hair can be flat ironed, though I do recommend using a heat protectant. After flat ironing a couple of sections I placed water on the hair and it went back to it’s normal texture.
