One of my goals this year was to get out of the house and stop being a homebody. It’s hard because I love to just lounge around, cuddle with my husband, and do stuff in the house. My husband loves to go to the movies but since I never want to go he stopped going as well. Yesterday I surprised him when I asked him if he wanted to go to the Movies to see the newly released Selma. We decided to go to an earlier movie in the afternoon so I could get some errands done afterward. Usually I opt to wear my oh so snuggly bear paws, but since I snatched up these Fold over See By Chloe boots for the low I figured I would get some wear out of them while it was still cold outside. I paired the boots with my Loft Camo Twill pants that I featured in my “Cute in Camo” outfit of the day seen here. These pants are fitting so much better now that I’m down 11lbs thanks to Weight Watchers!
Since my hair needs a little TLC I decided to throw on my Jessica Simpson Feather Wool Cloche hat. The hat sorta took me back in time so I decided to pair it with my Prada Baroque Sunglasses. You know to give it that old Hollywood look. The Movie Selma is definitely a must see. I’ll be honest, you will be ready to tear up after the first ten minutes. I loved how the movie showed us a different side of Martin Luther King Jr. I felt like we got to know him on a deeper level and I loved how it introduced us to key activist that had pivotal roles in the Civil Rights Movement. I very rarely LOVE a movie, but I can say that I very much enjoyed Selma and wished there would have been more. The movie really brought home what we are currently fighting for today. Equality and Justice.

Yes, you should be my child (daughter) Melodie. One of my goals this year is to get out of the house more and stop being such a recluse and a homebody. I live in Columbus, GA which is only 132 from Selma, AL; only 132 miles. I’ve never been to Selma, but I think it’s time for me to take a day trip there.
Love the outfit; you have great style!

Virginia, you should definitely go visit Selma! I’ve been to Birmingham and I got to see the church that was bombed and go through some other civil rights museums but I would love to go back and visit again as I’m a bit older and wiser now. Take a day trip and let me know how it goes. Thank you for stopping by and I hope that you continue visiting the site!
Great outfit! Love the look & the boots are gorge. I want to see Selma too.
wooo I love the bag!
I love those glasses on you.
I LOOVEEEEE the purse!!
I love how the bag really ties the outfit together!
The glasses are cute but I love that necklace!
LOOK AT YOU! Love the outfit. I think those boots need to be in my life. My calves are quite thick and muscle-y and most tall boots don’t fit over them. Are these kind of tighter?
I love those styles of hats!
Tres chic! Love the glasses a lot, but the whole outfit is great.
Cute outfit, I def need to go out more too!
Looking so fierce w/ the OOTD! I love your sunnies!
You are beautiful!! And one hip chica!!
I’m with you on being a homebody – sometimes I just like laying around too!
Dang girl… you are rocking that look. I am in love with those boots and that camo pants… gorgeous.
