So I teased you guys with a preview of the new Milani Cosmetics Moisture Matte Lipsticks and I’m excited that I can finally bring you guys swatches. When Milani sent these over for me to review I wanted to dive right in without even taking pictures of the product first. Admittedly, this took me a bit because I like to do swatches on a full face rather than just on my arm so you can get a good idea of how the lipstick looks on. I mean let’s face it nobody is looking at your arm when you’re wearing lipstick they see your whole face.
First off let me just say you have until February 3rd to snatch these babies for 30% off on MilaniCosmetics.com. Second, you need to run and pick these up! When I saw that these were described as Moisture Matte I was a bit skeptical because mattes aren’t moisturizing. Actually they can downright dreadful if you don’t prep your lips correctly before hand, but remember I showed you all how to do that in my “How to Rock Red Lipstick Like Taylor Swift” post. These went on smooth as butter without pulling or skipping. Another great thing is that they resemble many of MAC Cosmetics lipsticks but are a fraction of the price! The colors that come to mind are Heroine, Lady Danger, Flat out Fabulous and Ruby Woo. Make sure you check out 50 Shades of MAC Cosmetics Lipstick as seen on Brown Girls also!
Wear: I’ve worn two of these colors for a full day and the wear was awesome. You may need to do a light reapplication after heavy eating, but other than that these lipsticks have great staying power!
Matte Innocence is described as a Soft Whisper Pink Nude. Notice it came off very sheer and natural on me and this is after applying it like three times.
Matte Naked is described as the Ultimate “your lips but better” medium nude. This one showed up a bit better on my lips and I love it’s the perfect nude color for my skin tone!
Matte Blissful is a girly blush pink. I’m always on the fence with Pinks and how they wear with my skin tone, but I’m actually really like this one.
Matte Diva is a Happy Poppy Hot Pink. It reminds me of another MAC Lipstick whose name escapes me at the moment but I’ll be back to fill it in once I figure it out.
Matte Orchid is a Super flattering, complexion friendly fuchsia. This is a perfect substitute for MACS Flat Out Fabulous!
Matte Glam is described as a Yummy, grape-Italian-ice-purple. I was happy to see a light purple that had a rich pigment. This shade is very similar to MAC Heroine Lipstick. Matte Passion is a fiery sunset orange-red. I love a good orange-red. This color is similar to MAC’s Lady Danger.
Matte Confident is the perfect bold gutsy brick red. I’m so glad I finally have a substitute for Ruby Woo as my tube was on it’s last legs.
So which one do you need to add to your collection? The Milani Cosmetics Moisture Matte Lipsticks retail from $4.99 to $5.49 depending on where you find them. Remember they’re currently 30% off until Feb 3rd on the Milani Website.

Looks great on you! My faves are Glam and Orchid. My local Walgreen’s is all out so I’m not sure if I’ll get to try it.
Dsngit, I was planning on *not* buying any lipsticks til spring. Ugh, I love the fuchsia and ‘poppy pink’ colors
I have Matte Glam, Matte Confident and Matte Passion. Matte Passion I haven’t gotten to look right on my lips. What lip liner did you use for Marte Passion?

Hi Meli!
All the swatches were done without lip liners.
