Choosing the perfect foundations for oily skin can be a daunting task. With the aid of mattifying primer you can usually prolong the wear of foundation made for normal skin, but after a while the oil will break through and start to break down the makeup leaving the skin a slick, glistening mess. Oily skin also comes in different flavors as many with oily skin often have to deal with breakouts and more severe concerns like cystic acne.
If you have oily skin you want to look for a foundation that has certain characteristics. The Best Foundations for oily skin should be oil free, mattifying, and light weight. Toda for Top Ten Tuesdays I’ve put together a list of the top ten oil free foundations. This is a collection of liquid foundations each with their own unique properties that help to keep oil at bay.

I LOVE that we both did an oily skin list and you have 9 on here that I’ve never tried! Making my list now!
Great info for those with oily skin. I’ve never had the struggle; the mattifying primer really seems like it would be a great help.
Great choices! I have always wanted to try that Becca foundation!
I wish I’d known about these years ago when my skin was oily and I had a horrible time finding a foundation.
My wife is always complaining about her oily skin. Not that she is old or anything but sometimes I think its weird her skin still breaks out like a teenager. I just might slip a few of these products into her Christmas stocking. I am sure she will like these much better than the usual bath beads and bottles of foot lotion.
I don’t have oily skin but I do have dry skin. I have heard that clinique is pretty good too.
I have yet to try the L’Oreal Infallible but hear so many awesome things about it!
I love my foundation. I need a foundation that covers redness very well and that doesn’t make my skin break out. It took me a long time to finally find something that I really liked! This is great info for people who have oily skin!
What do you use? Same issues here!!
I have an oily T-zone so this post is definitely helpful! Currently I am using a liquid foundation from Bobbi Brown but it is good to see that so many other companies offer products that might match my skin tone!
I have friends who have oily skin. I never thought how hard it is to deal with until I have my own share. This quickly forced me to look for other types of makeup to ensure my skin stays as beautiful as it is. I am happy that I came across with your post. This is a helpful list, not just for me but also for other women out there who have oily skin.
I love this! I struggle so much to find a foundation that works with my oily skin. The other problem I have is how gross my skin feels at night when I go to take off the make up. It just feels caked on and I can tell that the oil has been trapped under a layer of makeup all day, making breakouts likely. I will definitely have to look into several of these options.
It can be so hard to find products that work with oily skin. I love that more makeup companies are making products for so many different skin types. I need to check out some of these products.
This is a great list. I have always combination skin and could never find anything and as I got older I found that I really had no interest in cover up. However, this is still a great list and I know a few gals who could benefit from this. =) Thanks for putting this together! You will have some happy ladies on your hands!
I’ve heard great things about the BECCA
I have been meaning to try the L´Oreal one for ages, but they seem to be out of a matching shade whenever I visit the store!
Bobbi Brown’s stick foundation has been great for my oily, acne-prone skin whether I use powder or not. It photographs well, too, and is easy to carry/apply for me as a beginner.
I swear by the Double Wear everyday!
