I love a good hair oil. One of my favorite things to do with hair oils is to use them before I shampoo as it helps to soften the hair and protects the hair from sulfates in the shampoo that can strip the hair of all it’s vital moisture. I’ve tried many hair oils and hair fragrances, but I’ve never used or smelled ones as decadent as the Show Beauty Hair Products.
I was sent the Show Beauty Pure Treatment Hair Oil and Decadence Hair Fragrance a while back and to be honest, the products got lost in the cave that I call my beauty room. I’m so glad that I unearthed them as I’ve been using them for the past two weeks and honey let me tell ya my hair loves it!
The Show Beauty Pure Treatment Hair Oil ($78) is a multifunctional hair oil that can be used as pre-shampoo treatment, leave-in, as well as a daily hair oil. The oil is a mixture of everything your hair loves like jojoba oil, argan oil, ginger root, and coffee extract to treat the hair and stimulate the scalp. I used the hair oil as a pre-shampoo treatment pairing it with heat to give my coils more of a deep treatment. Some hair oils can have a strong scent, but this oil smells absolutely fantastic. I almost hated to wash it out.
The Show Beauty Decadence Hair Fragrance ($85) smells so divine! With notes such as Madagascan vanilla, almond butter, white musk, and creme brulee you can’t help but become wrapped up in this sultry fragrance. It’s important to note that this scent is definitely not for everybody. Some may find it to be a bit too strong as these are some pretty serious notes. After some use I’ve found that less is more as this fragrance is just as decadent as the name implies. One spritz is more than enough for me and anything more can be overpowering.
The big question here is are they worth the price? I love the diamond etched bottle paired with the rose gold. It’s not question that these are definitely luxury products and while I love the hair oil you could probably find a cheaper version with the same oils. The hair fragrance was definitely something different, but because the smell is so strong I doubt it will be a good fit for many people.
