Okay, so I may have had to eat my words after driving around in a 2015 Kia Soul for a week…
Back in 2011 I purchased a 2012 Kia Sorento, the dealer tried to get me to check out a Kia Soul and I just couldn’t do it. It was boxy and being marketed by overweight hamsters. I was full of “nopes” that day and couldn’t even believe that someone would even want to take a car like that home. So umm yea about that. Granted, it’s been five years since I had these thoughts but yo! The Kia Soul is definitely an “it” vehicle on my list. This vehicle had EVERYTHING and I do mean everything on my list of must have’s when it comes to a vehicle that I would spend my money on. First of all, it was affordable. This baby will only run you about $26K-$27K depending on all the upgrades. Second, it had great gas mileage getting around 26MPG. I did a lot of basic running of errands and riding back and forth to work and didn’t have to fill up at all for over a week.
This particular vehicle came with the “Sun and Sound Package” and the “Whole Shebang Package” which basically means it comes with absolutely everything. My favorite thing was the Panoramic Sunroof. We had surprisingly perfect weather in Philadelphia so I had it open all the time. In the mornings, I took advantage of the heated seats. There are even rear outboard seats as well as a heated steering wheel making this vehicle perfect during the colder months. I loved the navigation and the infinity audio system. The touch screen was easy to use is something I prefer over the turn knob that you find in other vehicles.
The car was also pretty spacious. I did the backseat test to see how much room I would have in the backseat and was pleasently suprised. There is ample room in the trunk for storage making in a great car for travel or for hauling large loads. Overall I absolutely loved the 2015 Kia Soul and if I were in the market for a vehicle would really consider purchasing one, yes even in the color Alien green.
