I simplified my beauty routine with the RoC® MULTI CORREXION® 5 in 1 Eye Cream as part of a sponsored post with SocialStars. Thank you for letting me share brands I love with you. #WomenWhoROC
Since the beginning of the year, I’ve been doing a lot of purging. Purging my student loan debt (nothing but the devil), purging my fat cells through being conscious of what I’m eating, and also purging the clutter from my home. You can probably say that I’m starting to adopt a minimalist attitude towards life. I hadn’t realized that all the unnecessary things in my house were doing more than cluttering corners. They were cluttering my mind and my creative process so they had to go. I started the whole process by first decluttering my closets. My husband thought I’d went crazy when after a few hours I emerged from my bedroom with bags upon bags of clothes, shoes and accessories that I felt no longer had a place in my home. After the purge, I decided I wanted to create my first capsule wardrobe. Creating and wearing the items in the capsule was in a sense freeing as I no longer woke up and wondered what I was going to put on or had to worry if something still fit. I knew exactly what was in my closet and knew that each piece was so versatile I never had to worry about whether or not they would work together.
One of the main questions that I get a lot “is How do you Start a Capsule Wardrobe?”
Admittedly my walk into the capsule world was by accident as it’s not initially what I set out to do and not everyone is open to hearing that they need to clean out their existing closets. I like to tell people to purchase a clothing stand and move only the items they absolutely love from their closets to the clothing stand. If you don’t love it leave it in your closet. Once you’ve pulled all, your favorites take a step back and see what the stand may be telling you about your fashion choices. Is it showing you that you’re more prone to one color over another? Are your favorite pieces more casual or fancy?
The next step is to dwindle down the items on your rack. Is there something you added that you’ve never worn or only worn once. That may not be an item you want to hold on to. Working in the Konmari ideology you only want to keep items that bring you joy. This can be a bit difficult when it comes to your closet but think of it in terms of only choosing items that you could see yourself wearing over and over again without ever getting bored with it. This is how I dwindled down two closets full of clothing to only a wardrobe stand full.
I’ve incorporated this same way of thinking into my methods also. This has done wonders for my beauty routines. One of the reasons why our vanities or bathroom counters become so cluttered is because we have a product for everything. Most nights after a hard day of work all I want to do is fall into bed and dare I say it, not wash my face. I’m very serious about my skincare routine so I like to make sure I address all areas. What I don’t like is that my routine can be time-consuming. This is why I love the RoC® MULTI CORREXION® 5 in 1 Eye Cream. With one product I can address all my eye are concerns in one fell swoop. Dark under eye circles, dullness, dryness, and even wrinkles can be treated with this one product as it contains Hexinol Technology which targets the signs of aging. This allows me more time to concentrate on other areas of my life. Even Good House Keeping recognized how amazing this product is naming it their “Best of the Test” in the category of Eye-Anti agers which you can read all about here.
Minimizing my wardrobe and some of my beauty routines have made some daily task in my life a lot easier. If there are area’s where you’re feeling overwhelmed take a moment to see if there is a way to simplify things. By changing out my eye cream to the RoC® MULTI CORREXION® 5 in 1 Eye Cream I’ve eliminated two other products from my regimen as well as saved myself money down the road since I don’t have to repurchase the items. If you have a great method for making life simpler share it with me in the comment as I’d love to hear more.
