I’ve slowly been developing this love for Liquid lipsticks. When the first came on the scene I couldn’t get down with some of the formulas. They’d either be too dry or just a splotchy mess. Some of the more popular ones weren’t readily available on the ground. On a recent trip to one of my local Sephoras ( I have three within reasonable driving distance) I picked up a liquid lipstick that I absolutely fell in love with. I’ll be sharing deets on that one a little bit later. This particular post is going to be all about the limited edition Milani Cosmetics Amore Mattallics Lip Créme. Now in full disclosure, I was not checking for these at all, as I’ve been limiting my makeup purchases. Through twitter and various beauty groups, I’d heard about these elusive Lip Crémes, but it seemed no one was able to find them. That’s usually how things work, though, you find something when you aren’t looking for it. I stumbled upon these lovelies while looking for a new setting powder.
The Milani Mattallics Lip Créme come in eight bold metallic shades and retail for $7.99 a piece. If you happen upon the stand in the store you’ll note there are only three of each shade available which is why I’m only sharing six of the eight shades, the other two were sold out (whomp whomp!). If you can’t find these on the ground you can grab them online.

They weren’t kidding about the long wear. These lip crémes have some serious staying power and will stain your lips (you’ve been warned). I also love that my lips are drying out. Usually after a few hours of wear with a liquid lipstick, my lips are starting to crack on the corners or even peel. While I’m not a fan of every color there a few that I can see wearing over and over again. I’ve swatched the shades for you below as well as shown you how each color looks on a completed face ( I don’t do just lips) so you can get a better idea of if the color will be a good fit for you.

01 Chromatic Addict
Chromatic Addict is a golden beige. It’s a bit light for my taste, but could probably be dolled up with a nice lip liner.
03 Matte About You
Matte about You is a matte metallic coral. This is the one shade that I doubted would nice on me as it was very splotchy, but it transitioned well on camera. However, since my life isn’t portrayed on film it’s probably one I won’t use again.
04 Cinematic Kiss
Cinematic Kiss is a nice metallic pink. The color appears lighter as it’s applied but darkens a bit once it’s on the lips so give it a chance if you are unsure about this one.
05 Dramatic Diva
Dramtic Diva is a hot fucshia pink.
06 Mattely In Love
Of course, no collection would be complete without it’s must have red.
07 Automatic Touch
Automatic Touch is a wine toned metallic lip créme. I actually really liked this one the most out of all the colors.

So there you have it. Overall I would say that I am very impressed with the formula of these lip crémes. Out of the seven that I swatched there is probably one only that I really love, though I wished the coral didn’t go on so splotchy because it would have been my absolute favorite. Again, these retail for $7.99 at Walgreens and for $8.99 on the Milani Website. They’re limited edition so be sure to catch them before they’re gone.
