I’ve always been a fan of Estée Lauder, here’s a little secret, I used to work their counter a long time ago. Not too many people pay attention to this line as they think it’s for the “older” crowd, but trust me there are some gems to be had! A few weeks ago Estée Lauder launched the Estée Edit, which is a line geared towards millennials. The Estée Edit though by Estée Lauder can only be found exclusively at Sephora.
When I first heard of this line, I was super drawn to the packaging. It’s a mix of clean and edgy, but modern enough to appeal to buyers of all ages. The collection ranges from skin care to products with bold pigmented colors. A few items were sent over to Being Melody Headquarters for me to try out, so I’m sharing them with you below.

I love a good bronzer for the summer time; it’s awesome for giving you a nice pop of color and glow without having to use too many products. The Barest Bronzer has a splatter of gold illuminating pigments that gives you an amazing highlight when worn alone or a shimmering glow when mixed with the bronzer. Note that the gold pigment is only layered on the top so once it’s gone that’s it. The bronzer is reddish in color so while it’s gorgeous on I wouldn’t layer too much. In the picture below you’ll notice the bronzer on my cheeks. I love the color it gives me sans blush.
The Blackest Liner $22 took me by surprise. I have vehemently claimed that I am not a fan of felt tip liners because they always seem to skip when applied over makeup. Thought I was skeptical I gave this one a try and was floored. With this product, I was able to do my signature winged liner in less time that it takes me to do it with my holy grail liner product. The marker-like tip responded to the pressure from my hand well, allowing me to make the line thick or thin whenever I needed it. There wasn’t even any skipping! Now I wish this liner had come in other colors.
I wanted to love the Flash Illuminator, $28 however, the darkest shade, Night Light, didn’t even give me one ounce of illumination. It blended so well into my skin you couldn’t even tell that I was wearing it. I would need to go down a shade or two to be able to see the strobing effects that this product is supposed to create.
The last product that I received was The Edgiest Up and Out Double Mascara $24. This is a duo sided mascara with one side made to lift the eyelashes and the other side made to add more volume. I like that you can choose to wear one or both. I opted for both because I loved how big and bold the mascara made my lashes look. I did have a bit of clumping when using the volume formula on top of the lift but, I’ve experienced that with other mascara’s so it wasn’t a deal breaker. I’ve tried a lot of different mascara’s, and this one didn’t wow me enough to add it to my must have list.
Overall, I liked the Blackest Liner as well as the Barest Bronzer. I can definitely see myself using both those products a lot this summer. The Estée Edit has tons of other products that I want to try so stay tuned as I hope to get my hands on them (next time I get a Sephora Coupon).
