Hey, Everyone!
I’m sure you’ve seen photos of the new Blue Nectar and Fashion Pack lipsticks swirling around on the internets, or even here on Being Melody. Today I’m sharing with you swatches of lipsticks from both collections. For one of the collections, I only have one lipstick to show you, so I decided to put it all together to create one post of fantabulous swatches! Blue Nectar is a collection ripe with 9 Limited Edition shades and three repromotes. This collection has already launched on the MAC Cosmetics website so don’t delay. Fashion Pack, which I’ve shared with you here, is due to launch June 9th online and the 23rd in stores. Within that collection there are four new lip shades, again I have one here to show you.
BLUE NECTAR SWATCHES
Courting Seduction is a creamy pastel lavender shade and it is not cute with my skin tone at all. Don’t get me wrong I did try using a deeper liner to make this lipstick look a bit better, but it just didn’t work. However, I haven’t given up complete hope on this shade. I plan to try it out using the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Tarred balm to hopefully make the shade look a bit deeper.
I really wanted to love Lush Extract. It looks absolutely perfect online and is described as a Matte Deep Royal Purple. Unfortunately, this lipstick comes off very spotty and goes on like Smoked Purple from the MAC Make Me Over collection. The color itself is gorgeous and I’m sure would look amazing with some sort of base underneath to help the color adhere.
Barbecue is a repromote, but yall know I love my Red Oranges lipstick shades. This color has more red than MAC Cosmetics, Lady Danger and is absolutely gorgeous.
FASHION PACK SWATCHES
STYLIST TIP is one of the four shades from the Fashion Pack collection. Stylist Tip is a beautiful amplified deep violet. The shade is a bit more intense than what’s captured photographed and I absolutely love it.
As another reminder, Blue Nectar is Limited Edition and currently available on the MAC Cosmetics, the website, and Nordstroms. Fashion Pack is set to release June 9th online and will be available online on June 23rd at MAC Cosmetics stores.
Lush Extract and Stylist Tip look great on you! I get excited when MAC has new collections and interesting colors. The reality is that not all the shades will look good on my NC45 skintone. It’s fun to try them on!

This is very true. Courting Seduction looked like it MIGHT be a winner online but on my lips it’s a completely different story lol!
