One of the things that have been keeping in check this year with juggling my websites, finishing my Ph.D. , and making sure I keep things running like a well-oiled machine at home is my routine. Routines are life savers and if you read around you’ll find that some of the most successful people owe their success to the fact that they have a routine. You may even have a routine yourself. Do you eat dinner at a certain time or do you go to the gym on certain days? Routines just help things run smoothly.
At the beginning of the year, I adopted a routine where I would get up every morning, take care of my dogs needs, and then sit down and spend at minimum an hour focused on my brand before heading off the lab. This has helped me tremendously as I use a lot of auto schedules and I need to make sure content is prepped and ready to go as well as make sure that my assistant has all her assignments for the day.
Another morning routine of mine is taking care of my skin. Many people think they only have to focus on their skin at night before they go to bed, but it’s just as important in the mornings also. My morning skincare routine is not as in depth as my nightly routine but I still make sure to do the essential things like cleansing, toning, moisturizing and then following up with a sunscreen. One of the cleansers I’m absolutely loving right now for mornings is the ROC Daily Resurfacing Disk. The ROC Daily Resurfacing Disk contain your cleanser on a dual-sided pad. It’s basically a three in one as one side gently exfoliates, the other side gently cleanse & remove makeup or any dirt or oil built up from overnight. They’re gentle enough for every day use and my skin feels so awake and refreshed afterward.
Since I’m all about anti-aging I like that these Disk are clinically proven to diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles within one week. Using them up to 12 weeks can even diminish the appearance of pores which I’m dealing with a little on my cheek area near my nose.
After my skin is clean I can then focus on applying my makeup and doing the last little bit of chores before heading out to work. By completing these routines I feel like I have some control of my day even at least for a little bit. Do you consider your skincare a routine or something you just kind of do? Tell me about it in the comments below. Also, if you’re interested in more of the ROC skincare products be sure to check out my thoughts and how I use several of their other products here.
