Matte lipsticks are everywhere; they kinda became the “in” thing that most Millennials gravitate towards. While I love a good matte lip, I also love a lipstick that won’t have me questioning whether or not my lips look flakier than a Pillsbury biscuit so when Shea Moisture sent over their Shea Butter Lucious Lipstick line, I dropped my lip scrub and quickly got into formation.
[ad name=”In Content Responsive Ad”]I’m a huge Shea Moisture fan. I love how they’re breaking down the walls when it comes to the Beauty Aisles by making it an all inclusive zone, and I also love that how they incorporate natural ingredients that my skin and hair just love. These lipsticks are no different as their main ingredient is. Of course, Shea Butter. The Shea Butter makes these lipsticks so yummy, and it feels like the lipstick just melts onto your lips when applying. I honestly don’t remember the last time I tried a lipstick that felt so good on my lips, and yall knows I’ve tried several lipsticks. I like the chocolate brown packaging with the gold Shea Moisture logo as an accent. I also like the fact that you can see the shade of lipstick without actually opening the tube. When you have a lot of lipsticks something like that can win you over easily. There are ten shades in the entire collection, and I’m excited to share five with you below.
PINK TULIP: Pink Tulip is a true Pink. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be a fan but once it melted into my lips the color actually looked pretty good. I think this would be the perfect color for when I want to go for a really chill natural look but still incorporate some color.
NECTAR: Nectar coral shade with pink undertones.
CORAL: I love that this soft toned Coral. I am a huge fan of red-orange lipstick shades, but a lot that I have are pretty bright. This toned down version is perfect!
BERRY: Berry comes off as a deeper toned rose.
BLACK PLUM: Black plum appears rather dark in the tube, but comes off more as a darker berry.
I liked all of the lipsticks. My favorite out of the five is Coral with Black Plum following close behind. I also can’t get enough of how moisturizing they are. Should these be a part of your Makeup Collection? I think so! Again there are ten shades so if you didn’t see a color you liked here there’s hope yet. The price point isn’t bad as these lipstick run about $10 a piece. When you take into consideration the natural ingredients and quality I think they’re priced appropriately.
