If the promo photo for the Nars Fall 2016 color collection doesn’t make you want to run to the store and take in all the magic, I’m not sure what else will. This new collection boast;
Three new Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow shades in iridescent white rose gold, and deep indigo
- Two new Velvet Matte Lip Pencils in statured tones of garnet and Bordeaux.
- Two new Contour Blushes with complexion-enhancing hues from light caramel to espresso.
- Nine new Velvet Eyeliners with rich pigments that glide on smooth and blend evenly.
Nars sent over a few of the products for me to try out and I was excited to see that they included the blue eyeliners as for me blue is going to be the new black for this upcoming fall season.

Velvet Matte Lip Pencil $26
Nars has several Velvet Matte Lip Pencils in reddish hues that I love. One of them being Dragon Girl which is also a fave of Taylor Swifts. Now that I think about it the name kinda describes her pretty well in light of everything that’s been going on. Infatuated Red is a limited edition color in this collection and is described as a Garnet. Consuming Red has pinkier undertones and is described as being more garnet in color.

Overall there are some great choices in this collection. What I’m loving the most are the Velvet Eye Pencils. The Dual Intensity Eyeshadows are great but I felt needed to be worn with a primer to get the true beauty of their color payoff. As I mentioned earlier I’m a fan on the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencils, and out of these two Consuming Red seems to work better with my skin tone.
