This fall I’m switching out my black eyeliner for a bit more color. You may have heard me talk about giving black a break and switching it out for my bold fun hues on my Snap Chat and Instagram stories. I like a good eye pencil but nothing can hold a match to my love for liquid eyeliners. Now that I’ve gotten the hang of using them I don’t want to use anything else. They’re perfect for making my signature cat eye. On my latest trip to Sally Beauty, I stopped by their cosmetic aisle and took advantage of their Fall color Sale featuring Hues of Blue, which has great hair, nail, and cosmetics all for under $10. I thought this would be the perfect time to pick up a Midnight Blue Palladio Liquid Eyeliner start the Fall season off with a new bold shade.
On good days I get a fair amount of compliments on the precise execution of my winged liner. On the not so good days, I’m hoping nobody notices that they’re a bit asymmetric at best. While practice makes perfect I found that taking a makeup class really helped me narrow down a technique that works for me nine times out of ten. Not to make things too technical I’ll try to describe how I do it. I start off by drawing a line from my bottom lash line to where my lids crease. From that end, I then draw the bridge over my top lash line to the middle of my eye and connect it starting from my tear duct to the middle of my eye. Simple enough right?
I love that the Palladio Liquid Eyeliner has a thicker brush which allows me to fill in gaps that I may have missed while shading in my liner. It’s great because I don’t have to worry about doing too much where I might accidentally go outside the line and then end up trying to fix my mistake, which in turn leads me to completely messing up my look. I’m sure we’ve all experienced that before. Though the color is described as midnight I love how it’s a bold pop of jewel-toned blue which really helps to bring out the color in my eyes. What I like most about Sally Beauty is that with one visit I can grab just what I need to create the perfect beauty look no matter if it’s hair, nails, or even cosmetics.
