How many times have you gone into your closet and grabbed a pair of shoes that you haven’t worn in a long time? Only to realize why you haven’t worn said shoes in a long time? If it’s too many to count you’re not alone. Right now I have a closet full of gorgeous, wonderful shoes that I never wear because they are constantly throwing some type of shade/disrespect to my feet whenever I put them on. Yea there are tons of tips and tricks on how to break shoes in, but honestly who has time for that? Who has time to walk around the house wearing 4-inch heels with thick socks or to use a shoe stretcher only to discover as your tiptoe to your next location that you wasted your time?
Most shoes have an expiration time. You know that time limit for how long you can wear them before you start to feel it in your arch or the balls of your feet. This is why whenever I get a pair of shoes that look like that may be questionable when it comes to how comfortable they are, I always slide in a pair of insoles. I like to think of insoles as the shapewear for shoes. No, they don’t make your foot look slimmer but they do make the shoe you’re wearing a lot more comfortable. Trust me, when you pull a pair of shoes out of my closet 9 times out of 10 they’re going to have insoles already in them and ready to go. I’m absolutely loving my Amopé Gel Activ™ Insoles, plus there are no other insoles on the market like this for women. They’re revolutionary!
The Amopé Gel Activ insole are made from a super concentrated gel material and are 25% thinner than other insoles so you don’t have to worry about them disturbing the actual fit of your shoe or causing your toes to feel crowded. The sticky material on the bottom is pretty strong. I often times put the insoles into the wrong shoe (yes they do have labels on them to tell you right from left) and it’s not a problem to pull it out and put it into the correct one without disturbing the adhesive. I’ve even put them in other shoes after they’ve been in a pair for a while and they still stick!
The Amopé Gel Activ Insoles are available in four varieties and in this post I’m showing you how I use the ones designed for flat shoes which I wear most of the time since I work in a lab. The Cole Haan shoes with the cute bow were love at first sight, however, I was singing a different tune a few hours after wearing them to work. Even though I’m wearing flat shoes the constant walking can still be hard on my fee, plus not all flat shoes give you the right support. I like these insoles because they add extra support to the heel and make my shoes feel more comfortable. Depending on which insole you pick up you’ll notice that each insole is placed slightly differently in the shoe to align with the pressure points of the shoe.
You can pick up your pair of insoles at your local Target. I’ve included a shot of what they look like in store so you’ll know them when you see them. There you’ll also find the other three varieties. There are insoles for extreme heels, everyday heels, and even open toed shoes. Right now Amopé is offering a $10 mail-in rebate until October 23, 2016, that you can grab by heading over to the Amopé website at wwwww.amope.com.
So, tell me, which pair of shoes are you going to be wearing a lot more now that you know that there are insoles available to extend their wear time? Share with me in the comments below.
