We are three days into the new year, and I’m finally feeling well enough to sit up and type. I abhor being sick. I even got a flu shot this year, something I never do! Here I am sniffing away and trying to through because I have a heap of work to do.
I’ve spent a good bit of time thinking of what direction I wanted to take the blog in for 2018. There were so many things that I wanted to do but never got a chance to because 2017 kept ya girl busy. I wrote and defended my Ph.D. dissertation. I actually graduated from the program, and I jumped right into a job which went through so many changes that I ultimately decided it was not a good fit for me. On top of all of that my Husband and I achieved a huge milestone by paying off over $100,000 of our debt which you can read about over on my other site (Broke on Purpose).
I’m dedicating 2018 to be a year of growth and a year of clarity and fearlessness. I want to keep the commitments that I make to myself. I want to spend more time with my true friends and not the ones the associates that text me every blue moon to ask me random makeup questions. I want to surround myself with people who are as invested in my life as I am theirs. I want to continue paying down debt, building wealth, and simultaneously enjoy life with my husband.
Here’s to the year 2018 and whatever it may bring.
