It’s not every day I get to ride around in a car where pedestrians give me the thumbs up and the neighboring cars at a light want to engage with me in a conversation about the awesome color. It was weird having to say “Excuse me”, to people who’d innocently stopped to look so that I could get in my car and drive away. I’ll be honest for a bit I kinda felt like a big deal. I guess that is if you can feel like a big deal in a subcompact car, but for a whole week, thanks to DriveShop, the Mitsubishi Mirage with its gorgeous Plasma Purple Paint job made me feel like a star!
I got my first vehicle when I was 16. It too was a subcompact car, but let me just say it was nothing like this! From exterior to interior this car just wows. I was thoroughly impressed with several of it’s features you know like the keyless entry and push button start. Now that I’m back to driving my own car I’m seriously going through withdrawal, I mean who has time to dig their keys out of their over packed purse just to unlock the door? Another great feature of the car is the starting price of $12,999! I’m all about budgeting and when done right the Mitsubishi Mirage can fit perfectly into anyone’s budget. If Plasma Purple isn’t your style don’t worry the car comes in 8 different color options so they’re something for everyone.
I am very particular about gas mileage when it comes a car. I can’t stand pumping gas, or dealing with finding the best gas prices so I need a car that will keep me away from the gas station as much as possible. The Mitsubishi Mirage gets 37MPG City and 44MPG Highway. The car also comes with all the bells and whistles one could want. Fast Entry Key System, Push Button Start, Blue Tooth, a USB Cable, fog lights and 14″ alloy wheels are standard while the touchscreen navigation system is optional. It even comfortably fits a 6’2 ex-middle linebacker who wasn’t a bit concerned about his masculinity being questioned while driving around in a Plasma Purple subcompact car lol. If you’re someone who’s always on the go and needs a lot of trunk space the Mitsubishi Mirage has got you covered. The rear seats fold down giving you more than enough room in the already deep trunk. Do I have anything negative to say about the car? Hmm, my only qualm was that it did not have a center console so that I could rest my arm while driving. This car is definitely made for those “hands at 10 and 2” type of people. I’m more of the “slouch and ride” girl. Honestly, that would be it. I just want a center console.

How exciting to come across your blog! I was drawn to it because I, too, have a Plasma Purple Mitsubishi Mirage and I LOVE IT!!! And yes, I have had the feeling of being a “local celebrity” due to the color – from a woman stopping me to tell me how much she loved the color to a group of girls screaming wildly when they saw me ride by. I don’t have the push button start you mentioned. That would’ve been nice. But I have zero complaints thus far!

I just saw this exact car in the grocery store parking lot and did exactly what you described. I walked out of my way to see the back of the car to find out the model and make of this little purple car!!! I knew I would know the car I wanted when I saw it and I believe this could be it!
